The postgraduate certificate course (PCC) "Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry/Radiopharmacy" addresses pharmacists and natural scientists who work in the field of radiopharmacy or intend to do so.

The work of a radiopharmacist/radiochemist requires a special qualification. On the one hand, the production of radiopharmaceuticals requires the fulfillment of medicinal product regulations concerning e.g. identity pureness, pharmacological characerization and safety. On the other hand, the production is subject to the applicable laws in radioprotection and legal regulations for radiopharmaceuticals.

This postgraduate course in radiopharmacy/radiopharmaceutical chemistry consists of three 2-week-modules taking place in Ljubljana, Zurich and Leipzig.

Prospective candidates

The PCC provides additional professional training for scientists, especially chemists and pharmacists involved in the small-batch manufacture or quality control of radioactive drugs as well as in the research and development of such products, or for those wishing to work in this field in future.
